Honoring a Legacy:
Jack enlisted in the Navy in the weeks following the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He was only 17, and needed his parent’s permission to enlist. He served on a submarine in WW2, and was also in the South Pacific on the Marshall Islands. He also served in the Korean War aboard the USS General A.E. Anderson TAP. He spent time in Okinawa and Yokohama. His Rank was Petty Officer Third Class, and he was an Electrician’s Mate, Power & Light, EMP3.
